We build steel and wood railings for you – depending on the intended application for designating usage areas, as guardrails or for rockfall protection. Our steel and wood railings, a combination of steel posts and wooden handrails, can be used for walking and biking paths, at vista points or rest areas, for example. They use round timber made from larch, pine or Douglas fir with a 120-mm diameter or half-round timber with a 120/60 mm diameter. The galvanized C steel posts come in different lengths and with different perforations, and prevent corrosion for decades.
Our steel and wood railing uses “Sauerland System Type A, B or C.” In especially dangerous areas – for instance steep embankments or near bodies of water – we use additional constructions such as steel mesh panels, which are attached under the knee rails.
